Christmas is about having fun, joy happiness and love. Christmas is a special time to spend with family and friends.

Jack Visits St. Patrick's School

Learning Intention - W.A.L.T - write a narrative story.

Success Criteria -

On Christmas Carols, it was a great day. I gave an invitation to Jack to the class, Jack was taking long to come to our class, he finally arrived when he was about to introduce himself, he was late but he still introduced himself.

Next we were playing musical chairs, Jack said that in his time musical chairs was popular, Jack was the king of musical chairs, he kept winning.

After that the singing was about to start, our class sang first, Jack loved our singing. He was already going home, Jack wished if he would stay at St. Patrick's school. As he was walking past Room 1

everyone was saying bye,  Jack was walking by the gate he dropped a seed on the ground, the beanstalk grew and grew all the way up to the sky. He went up the beanstalk happily and went home. It was a great day, I wish he was here always.

                                          Athletic's Day
Athletics Day is a fun day it makes St. Patrick school students happy and hype. On Athletics Day we get to go to our team, when we have a team we need to wear our team color, we can also wear our P.E. too.

The first activity we do is a 100 meter to 200 meter race, if your first you get 5 points for your team. their are 2 rounds in the race. The race only up to 5 to 13 yrs old too. The most fun part is tug - of - war.

Fruit Cup - By Matthew

Learning Intention: We are learning to write an instruction.
Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can write instruction using words like first, second, third, then, next lastly and finally.

Fruit Cup     
Ingredients: Lettuce, pineapple, apple, kiwi fruit and cream.

Steps: First wash your hands to make sure their clean. After that wash the fruit plus the lettuce. Third, peel the kiwi fruit skin. Then cut fruits in a bite size. Next put the fruit in a container that's clean, get your lettuce and put in tissue but before that make a cup shape like lettuce. Put the fruit in the lettuce and put cream on it. Then finally eat it.

I agree that we need to celebrate Mission Day because we are a catholic school and we need to continue the work of Jesus.  Mission Day is about supporting the orphanage called "Holy Angels" in India, Mission Day is also about have fun too. Your parents can come too. Mission Day makes St. Patrick's students happy

Mission Day is a special day, it has a lot of activities such as face painting with great painters, dancing, karaoke, cup stacking, apple eating challenge, movies with popcorn and with a fun raffle, the raffle includes a big Lego prize. We can also wear mufty clothes. There's a lot of sweets you can choose from.

Koi Carp are Pets? - By Matthew

1) What is Koi Carp?
Koi Carp is an friendly giant like goldfish. Koi are cold water pond fish. Koi Carp are sometimes white and gold but most of the Koi Carp are gold. They eat just eat about anything, from small bugs, and insects, to plants and algae. Koi can grow fast.

2) I agree that Koi Carp are pets because Koi are truly friendly and will not eat other fish or fight with each other they sometimes accidentally eat each other and accidentally fight each other.

1.) What are cockles?

Answer: Cockles is an edible, marine bivalve mollusc. Cockles are disappearing.

 2.) Why are cockles are disappearing?

Answer: If your a fisher or a shellfish gatherer around Auckland you may not know if your gathering a lot a lot of cockles.

3.) What can we do about it?
Tell the Government about the people that gathers cockles more than 150 or 50 should fine 1,000 dollars.

Hello! My name is Matthew. My birthday is on October. I grew up in Panmure, Auckland. My favourite games on my ipad are Roblox and car simulator. I like playing football, swimming and basketball.

 My favourite songs are Gods Plan, Sing me to sleep and Gucci Gang. I like colours that are silver, blue and yellow. The movie I like are Pacific Rim and Jumanji. I have lots of friends at school.

                                A Visit To Stone Cottage 

Me and Room 6 went to Stone Cottage. A man name Chris
was guide and was there to answer our questions. The first thing I saw was a old fire extinguisher that maybe was in the 1800's. The fire extinguisher looks like metallic gold. There is a handle on top of the fire extinguisher you pull back the handle, then you let it go after that the fire extinguisher turns off.
 Do you know how to use a type writer?
 I saw a type writer, that looks different from the one today!. 
There's paper at the back , when you type the alphabets appear on the paper. 

I asked Chris how how the saw was made.  There was sharp teeth in the saw made of metal. It has a wooden handle, with drawings of flowers. The sharp teeth under the saw helps you cut down trees.
